Privacy policy

This policy explains what happens to your information when you use toolboxtribe.com (“Toolbox Tribe”, “we”, “us”). Toolbox Tribe is a free resource run by Stu Clark of EightySix Digital.

The tools stay on your device

Our calculators and tools run in your browser using JavaScript. The figures you enter, your wage, your overheads, your marketing spend and so on, are processed on your own device and are never sent to us, saved, or shared. Close the tab and they are gone. We could not see your numbers if we wanted to.

Information we do handle

• If you email us. When you contact us, we receive your email address and whatever you put in your message. We use it only to reply and to help you.
• Basic analytics. We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand which pages and tools people find useful. This collects things like pages visited, rough location, device and browser, usually in a way that does not identify you personally.

Cookies

The analytics above may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser. They help us count visits and see how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and the site will still work.

The services we rely on

To run the site we use a few trusted third parties, who may process limited technical data on our behalf:

• Vercel, which hosts the website.
• Google (Analytics and Tag Manager) for the analytics described above, and Google Fonts to display the site’s typefaces.

Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data.

How we use information

Only to run and improve Toolbox Tribe: to reply to your messages, keep the site working, and understand which resources are worth building more of. We do not use it to advertise to you.

Sharing your information

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone, full stop. We only share data with the service providers above, and only as far as they need it to keep the site running.

Your choices

If you have emailed us and want to know what we hold, or want it deleted, just ask and we will sort it. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on, and manage cookies in your browser.

Children

Toolbox Tribe is aimed at people running trade businesses and is not intended for children.

Changes to this policy

As the site grows we may update this policy. When we do, we will change the date at the top. Big changes will be made clear.
